Safe-deposit boxes
Yes. Nevada held or listed a state sale in 2025–26. Nevada law (NRS 120A.610) has the Treasury auction property from abandoned safe-deposit boxes. The 2025 sale ran online on J.J. Kane: jewelry, coins, currency and silverware.

After a sale
The Nevada pages we read don't say what happens to the money after a sale. Ask Nevada State Treasurer directly; its contact details are on the official site ↗.
